The primary function of the CoA-NDT is to review and evaluate educational programs in Neurodiagnostic Technology and Intraoperative Neuromonitoring to determine compliance with the established Standards and Guidelines for an Accredited Educational Program in Neurodiagnostic Technology and the established Standards and Guidelines for an Accredited Educational Program in Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring. Recommendations regarding program accreditation are forwarded to the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) for action.

The mission of the Committee on Accreditation of Education in Neurodiagnostic Technology (CoA-NDT) is to ensure the quality of Neurodiagnostic Technology (NDT) and Interoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (IONM) educational programs through accreditation and to foster the development of new programs.

The vision of the Committee on Accreditation of Education in Neurodiagnostic Technology (CoA-NDT) is to be the leader in Neurodiagnostic Technology and Interoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring programmatic accreditation.
